November’s litter pick went well with over 35 people, including Cllr Steve Abbott, children, parents and a staff member from Heywoods Prep School and a lady who recently turned 90 years of age proving you’re never too old to litter pick!
Despite rain initially, we collected 20 bags of rubbish plus 5 bags of recycling. The highlights were a pair of socks, a full (!) nappy, a pair of trousers, a packet of prawn crisps and 8 unopened cans of strong cider!
Areas covered included the campus and nearby streets, paths and streets by Corsham School, Valley Road, part of Pickwick Road. Also covered were the estate by Corsham Regis School, Priory Street, Meriton Rec, Allington, Potley, the area near Pound Arts Centre, streets in the Cleevedale Road area, etc.
